Sushil Karmacharya
Sushil founded TCH in the year 2006 and is the Managing Director of the company. He attended the deaf school but also underwent speech therapy in India and learnt to lip read. He has trained in interior designing , graphic designing, photography and fine arts from India. Sushil wanted to share his experience and knowledge with other deaf individuals and started offering vocational training (with support from the National Federation of the Deaf & Hard of Hearing and Forward Looking). In his free time, he likes to cook gourmet food for family and friends catch up on films.
Namrata Shrestha
Namrata has completed MSc in International Management from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, UK and worked in service oriented organisations in the UK. With a view to assist the deaf community by implementing the ideas and skill gained from her stay abroad, she has joined hands with the team at TCH and looks after human resources and business development. Her favourite pastime is working hard at the gym and aims to run a marathon someday.
Jay Regmi
Jay has been with TCH since 2007 and has grown with the company. After an illness at an age of 18, he lost his hearing and went to deaf school to learn sign language. He has been an all-rounder in the office assisting with collections, delivery, sales, procurement and occasionally screen printing. Jay also helps other organisations working with the deaf and enjoys photography when he’s not working.
Mamata Karmacharya
Mamata has been our training coordinator ever since TCH decided to offer skill training to other deaf people and help them hone their talent. She is responsible for planning, researching, designing course outline and counselling students. Before joining TCH her professional career included being a sign language news reader for NTV, an interpretor and program officer at NFDN. Her work has taken her to many places within Nepal and also abroad to places like Denmark, Sweden, Netherlands. Her favourite passtime is surfing the internet and catching up with friends.
Roshna Shrestha
She has earned a degree in MA with specialisation in Sociology from Tribhuvan University. She has been with TCH since 2006 due to a strong urge to work for the deaf in Nepal to help uplift their status in society. Roshana has held a number of roles over the years, from business administration to finance and office management. Today she liaises with suppliers and customers and is responsible for the smooth daily running of the business. Being one of six siblings, she loves spending time at home as well as exploring Nepali cultural and historic places in her spare time.
Romans Karmacharya
Romans joined TCH with his expertise in designing for print media. He has been a part of the TCH family since 4 years and continues to surprise our clients with his creativity. He excels in Corel Draw, Photoshop, Freehand, Indesign and Illustrator. When not working, Romans is out and about in Kathmandu valley with his camera.
Muna Gurung
She is the screen printing expert at TCH and started work with us since 2009. Muna has been deaf since the age of 3 after she fell ill and has been struggling to dispel the preconceived notions of society concerning the disabled. She has trained in graphic designing, photography, fine arts and screen printing from TCH. When not at office, she likes to utilise her time knitting.
Pratigya Shakya
He joined TCH in 2006 and since then he has contributed by converting ideas on to paper for our clients. He lost his hearing since his childhood. As an illustrator, he skilfully transforms complex ideas and concepts into simple drawings. He also uses his creativity to bring out new designs for products such as greeting cards and souvenirs allowing his artwork to speak for itself.
Shramdip Purkoti
Shramdip is our assistant graphic designer. He has studied art at A - Level and has trained as a graphic designer which enables him to bring creativity to his designs. Outside office, he is an environmental activist and a cyclis which also reflects in his daily lifestyle. Besides supporting causes he believes in, he loves reading and visiting art exhibition whenever he has spare time.
